I’ve Googled my brains out but haven’t been satisfied with what I’ve found. I’m looking for some inspiration to design a tattoo related to deer hunting. Some of the qualities I had in mind:

    1. In terms of detail, I am not looking for a photo-quality image, nor a mere silhouette. What I have in mind is a middle-ground, the kind of detail you might see in a scroll-saw pattern.
    2. I would prefer the deer be full-bodied (either a standing or jumping pose, not running). I’d rather not do a bust / mount, and definitely not a skull.
    3. This would most likely go on an arm or a leg. I have considered perhaps making an armband out of intertwined antlers.
    4. I also want to integrate my hunting partner / best friend’s name into the piece. Yes, I know it’s often a bad idea to include names of friends – please humor me. Besides, I intend the name component to be either sized, located, or embedded in such a way as to make it discreet.

If anyone can give me some ideas, I’d be eternally grateful.

    Hi

If you are looking for portrait style of a deer/stag here are a few that might inspire. (These are scroll saw types)

How you would integrate your friends name I am not sure perhaps you could have it done

    1. Shaped in gunsmoke clouds

    2. Shaped within the antlers.

    Take care

Maybe you could get Bambi limping away after being shot, and your friend’s name written in the dripping blood?
    Just kidding ๐Ÿ™‚

    Lol

Or get his name carved in the belly of Thumper as he lays sprawled across the body of Bambi.
    God I hated that cartoon.
