Hello everyone!
My name is Annie!
I am an avid crocheter, and I love to draw. I have a Yorkie, a cockatiel, and a Ball Python.
My family and I breed Yorkies, and currently have 10 of them all together.
I have a 2 year old son. He turns 2 on the 6th.
I am engaged to my BF of 5 years, going on 6.
I am EXTREMELY against drugs, corporal punishment, and I am pro-life.
I work part time in a diner, and we own a home daycare. [My bf’s family.]
I am only 17, but don’t let that throw you off, I am very mature for my age when I need to be. ๐
I like to call myself an “aspiring tattoo artist” because it is my life goal. ๐
I am hoping to learn more about how to follow my dream by talking to artists here!
I will be 18 next month, and a local shop told my almost-MIL that they’d think about taking me on. They’re all good friends. ๐
Well, other than that, there isn’t much to say. I only have on tattoo, and it is very poor, and was done in Jr High by myself using a needle and blue India Ink because I don’t think. >.< It is a cross on my left hand under my index finger.
I think I’ve covered the basics, and maybe a bit more. ๐

Hi Annie
Welcome to the forum.
Any chance of you putting up your art for us to see? I would be interested in seeing your work.

I will try to. My cousin ran off with my favorite sketchbook FULL of art. But I will have to just start over fresh I guess! ๐ No biggie.
I’ll post on the site as soon as I get some uploaded.
Here are a few of my doodles:

Well there’s a “few” from one of my sketchbooks. Not my best, by far, but just a bit to show you my “style” or whatever. ๐
Oh, and some say “TwiGGy” because that’s what I USED to go by.
Hi
I have to say I love the ‘lonely bones’ – that is a real unique drawing there.
The bird is also reminiscient of the old school style flash.
I did notice that you seem to be a very ‘light touch’ artist from your doodles, don’t be shy of getting in there and using thicker outline and shade on your drawings to flesh them out.
The cheekbones (thin is in) would look good with more definition as would the lips – which would benefit from them being shadowed.
I would suggest drawing everyday and stretch yourself in subjects (people, animals, fruit anything everything).
Also practice tracing common tattoo designs and that will help you when free-handing.

Thanks for the critique. I love constructive critisisim. I always am a bit sheepish and do “lighter” because I don’t want to mess up! I am very cautious! ๐ But I will try to start drawing more often like you suggested. ๐
Oh, and the bird one is one that I designed for myself. I want someone to “touch it up” because it’s a little ” misshapen” :P. I also want to learn to shade and color better, so I’ll be practicing that as well. ๐
