hi everyone, just a quick question.i plan on getting a 3/4 japanese sleeve with chest panel.keeping it simple with just a dragon and wind bars and water etc in the background.how many hours am i looking at,anyone???????:)thanks.
Hi Ross
I would say off top of my head a min of 15 hrs – hard to say really every artist works at a diff pace and depends on how much detail you want.
The artist doing it would be able to advise you best.

What he said man, and, hell, for that matter your artist can only give you a ballpark. He might be feeling like crap the day of your appointment and it could seriously slow him down, or he could be on a serious caffiene high and whip it out in no time.
So, other than your artist’s ballpark, it’ll get done when it gets done.

you will most probably find that the artist will give you an hourly rate rather than a set price on such a large piece as it will take more than one sitting to complete.
While that’s reasonable Outlaw man, my guy usually quotes me a price and sticks with it reguardless of how much time he puts into it. While technically he charges $100 an hour, he put about 20 into the zombie squid on my arm and only charged me $600 (plus tips, which I have to force on him).
But, on the other hand, I’m a walking portfolio of his work, and I’ve sent at least $10k in referal business his way over the years.
