    Hi

Newbie here, wanting to get my first tattoo. I’ve wanted one for years; a sun, and feel like now is the time to get it. My question is, is it possible to get a tattoo done purely in red or orange ink? No black lines, just pure colour. The tat I have in mind is very simple, would just be one block colour and is basically a circle with little roughly drawn triangles around it. Very simple but I love it! Are there disadvantages to getting a tattoo with no black lines, just colour? I’m getting the tat done on the fatty areas to the side of the small of my back ๐Ÿ™‚ Cos Im a wuss basically. ;P

Also, I’ve started looking for a tattoo parlour to do this for me – I love in London, and am already in contact with Skunx – any other suggestions?
    Thanks,

    Anna xxx

its very unusual not to have an outline to a tattoo, it does not need to have an outline…. but it will look like it has been drawn on with a colouring pen… some people get cherry blossoms done with no outline to give a delicate edge and nothing bold looking. personally i think it makes them look unfinnished or faded. (personal thought only)

if you already have an artist then there should be no problem, they will do what you ask for, they may try and talk you into having a thin outline to make it stand out more, but the final call is yours and they should honour that descission.

its pointless asking for suggested artists or shops because any artist can pull off such a straight forward piece.

let us know when you have had it done, and post a picture for us all to see ๐Ÿ˜‰
