I am looking to get my first tattoo and I have a pretty good idea of what I wanted and I have thought long and hard bout gettin it. So I’ve been askin my friends bout it and I have received mixed opinions. So I was wondering if yall could give me some insight.

My opinion (and that is all it is)
The font is fine – in fact I would even bolden it out and also add some outer shading to create some shadows behind the letters. if you are gonna wear your state name wear it proud! I would also have the wording bent around the state so not to cover the outline of it.
The bit I am concerned about is the state of kentucky. The outline sure but what are you going to have in the inside?
Basically you will have a big gaping blank bit of skin.
Is there anything you could put in there to make the tattoo more ‘finished’? I am brit so scuse my ignorance – but i would suggest maybe;
A screamin eagle head in the centre
Local flag (dunno do you have state flags or emblems?).
Stars and stripes
A cow/ bull skull
Anyhow I think with a bit more work you can take a good tattoo to been a great tattoo.

Sorry, my wife’s from Kentucky, so we’re constantly bagging on each other’s home state ^_^
So, for the middle, you could get a brother and a sister fucking. :rolleyes:
Of maybe a patch of bluegrass, with a Cardinal parting the grass. MAybe you’d like to work the state motto into there, “Deo gratiam habeamus” (“Let us be grateful to God”).
