I just got my tattoo and have been putting curel on it. They covered it up at the shop and I kept it covered for about 6 hours before I cleaned and moisturized it. Do I have to keep my tat covered at all times?? Or should I let it air out when I am not at work?

after about 4-10 hours or so after getting the tattoo, you can remove the bandage, and it doesn’t need another one unless it is in an area that rubs against clothing, or is uncomfortable…

Letting the tattoo get air is VERY important, not only for healing, but there are facultative bacteria (it means they live where there is no air, anerobic) that can move into any lacerations, and can cause infection faster than any arobic bacteria.

Point is, let it breathe as much as you can, keep it moist, and keep it clean
