If you’re thinking of getting a tattoo, they are permanent things. Yes, of course they are, that;s how you should see them. Permanent pieces of art, a BIG commitment.

    What I don’t get is:

    1. Why so many people come to this section to bash the art of tattooing. If you don’t like it, don’t look.

    2. Why people have this god complex, I see it so much “don’t get a tattoo” “I woluldn’t get a tattoo so don’t”, “it’s a bad idea so don’t do it”. That’s YOUR opinion. Don’t tell other people what to do. Just because YOU couldn’t commit so something so permanent, that doesn’t make it wrong for others to do it. It’s a tradition that’s been around for centuries. Don’t trot in here in your nappy and say it’s wrong.

    3. Why people who KNOW that they do NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT continue to post. If I’m not specialised in something, I won’t get involved. I won’t go and try and advise a surgeon during a heart op, “how hard can it be?”. There’s even someone saying tattoos cause cancer. WTF?
thanks for all your responses so far, I’m glad to see so many of you out there support me in this, I Was beginning to think I was going crazy in here.

Note how none of the bashers are arguing back…

It is pretty much everyones right to have an opinion and all we can do is allow them to have their say, it would be pretty narrow minded to rubbish what others opinions are, even if we do feel they are full of shit. Personally I can’t understand why people come onto a tattoo site and rant about how bad they are, this is a little bit sad in mu opinion, you’d think they would have something better to do, but there you go, takes alsorts.
With regards to the tattoo and cancer connection. I posted a thread about 6 months ago about the Fluorescent ink tattoos. They are finding a connection between the 2, the Fluorescent ink is a dangerous way to go anyway from what I’ve read about it. Sort of hovers alive under the skin in order to react, seems very dodgey stuff and many artists are avoiding it now after these claims. So if that was the thread you were talking about then I’m basing it on experience knowledge so I’m sure this is no reason to feel anyone is trying to persued anyone either way about tattoos. I’m covered I couldn’t give a toss what you or anyone else does with your body, ‘live and let live’ as they say.
But yes your original thoughts on random anti tattoo persons on a tatto site is a little strage and they need to get out more.
