I read a few articles stating that music sales have gone up over 10% [( I believe the percentage was somewhere between 10-15%…. )] since downloading music became extremely ‘popular’ in the recent years.

After hearing that, I wonder if downloading music really takes away as much money from the industry as a lot of people say..I mean, sales have gone up, and they’ve made MORE money since downloading.

Not to mention, a LOT of bands I like nowadays I heard of because someone online said, “Hey, download this song and see if you like it!” so I do, and then if I like that song and most of the rest of the album, I’ll make my way over to Best Buy and hope I can buy it there. So because I’m able to download the music, I can learn about more bands that I’d like and buy their merchandise and CDs when I get paid.

Now I know that everyone isn’t like me, I know not everyone goes out and buys the CD if they like it, but even so- being that they’re making MORE money, is it really that bad?

Bands And Television Say It’s Bad But At The End Of The Day There’s Still Limewire, Kazza , BearShare And Other Downloading Programes.
The Government Can Close All These If They Wanted, But They Choose Not To.
