when i try to download it says ur firewall is on. how do you turn it off?

Goto Control panel
Click Network and Internet Connection.
Click Windows Firewall
Goto Exceptions tab
Click Add Program button
From the program list appearing select limewire
click Ok
click Ok again
This will do the trick in your favour
