    This film was made around 1995 (ish) it’s about a teenage boy who befriends a lab gorilla that his mum is working with.
    The gorillas name is Katie, The young teen braeks her out since she was going tobe sold “well cut a long story short” thay drive round and eventally get court. Can you help!!

    It sounds like the plot of Project X with Matthew Broderick, but that was a boy monkey. I know the gorilla in Congo (which came out about the time you mentioned) was named Katie, but the plot is totally different.
