My x bf told me to listen to the music he listens to and id figure out what he cares about so i was wondering what does slipknot always sing about? Or killswitch engage? someone please help.

slipknot…a lot of it is about Anarchy. Then theres tuff about how much life can suck at time, then just plain old anger.
Killswitch takes a more poetic line to the same things.

Usually thrash metal contains environmental issues, political statements, family relationships issues and the like.
Some of them are quite good too.
Try Metallica’s ‘And Justice For All’, for example.
Many newbies struggle with the dark voices / high pitch rants that typify metal, but for those who understand & appreciate it, like myself, we love it. Take note of Man O War…loudest gig ever, and he has an operatic voice when he chooses. His songs can verge on the fantastic, but some of them have great messages.
