Pitbulls represent the agression and the violence rap and hip hop artists hope to convey in their lyrics. Many pitbulls are abused by their owners which can also in turn be a metaphor for the struggle the artists went through during their early lives. The physical power of pitbulls as well demonstrates the domination and strength rappers would like people to see in them lyrically, phyically, etc. Unfortunately many hip hop artists who actually own pitbulls fail to take adequate care of them and only cause them to be more prone to agressive, dangerous behavior, by keeping them in closed tight spaces away from other human beings and dogs- i.e DMX.

it’s beacuse of their infamous aggresiveness that makes them to be tough. and most hip hop stars are tough, like tupac.

Cuz they are big and tuff, and gangsters want to look big and tuff too.
