Hi,

I am a new member of the forum just signed up today. I have heard some good things about this forum so I am hoping someone can help me.

I currently only have one tattoo on my back. A dragon with a rip effect around it which I really like.

I am looking into getting a new tattoo on my thigh that is another rip affect but I want it to be 3D and I want it to have the character Predator coming out of it as if he has opened it as a way of escape.

I have a picture of the stance that predator is in that I would like to be similar on my tattoo.

My only issue is that I can be picky in that my tattoo needs to be exactly what I am after and I am hoping that there is someone out there who would be willing to take a shot at designing it for me.

Thanks
Allan

Hi and welcome Allan.

To be honest you maybe best taking your tattoo concept idea to the artist who is going to do the piece for you otherwise you can end up with the tattoo not flowing on your body.

Also you will need a seriously good artist I have seen many predator tattoos and frankly a large majority of them were lousy.

Here is a few examples of the better ones I have seen and tagged for reference.

Putting it simply a predator is one fugly bastard to draw because the proportions of the skull and body need to be exact so you don’t look like you have done a kids drawing of a troll. 😉

Hope they help inspire your own design.

Take Care

i take it the dragon is older then the ripping skin part of your tattoo ?

I really think you need to find a book , comic , poster etc of what you want and then take it along to your artist and get them to draw it up for you !
thats is what my partner did when he got his batman tattoo done

Thanks for the replies guys.

Yea I got the dragon done first then I had the rip effect done after it. The pics were taken the day after I had the rip affect added.

My Mum and Dad and my Bro all tease me by saying at first glance you can’t actually tell that it is a dragon do you think that this is also the case.

I will get a current picture of my tattoo and I will let you see how it is now a year or two on since the rip affect was added.
