I got it done by a friend(no charge) but I regret having him do it as he wasn’t a pro.Long story short he talked me into it and I fell for it.I wanna know if its possible for a PRO to fix this.At least the tattoo isn’t horrifyingly hideous but when I look at LA INK/Miami Ink it puts my tattoo to shame :(.The part I really dislike is the neck;it looks kind of akward.I was thinking of adding like a universe or a black hole or some mayan/aztec related stuff to partially cover the neck of the feathered serpent.

Here is a video I recorded of my tattoo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBrmyDp0is4

and here are some pictures

This was all freehand drawn.
Thanks if you took your time reading this.

It is very amateurish. But I kind of like the design.

Where in the world are you? Tim Pangburn could cover that up.

Looks light enough to be able to cover it up, but I think it could be a cool design too, make sure to go to a professional next time though

that Pangburn owl is fucking amazing, Tim pulls off another epic tattoo!

As far as fixing that tattoo, it’s possible and I think it is a good design that has been executed poorly. Where do you live? I’m sure someone here can suggest a local artist to fix you up.

There are small areas of the tattoo that cannot be fixed, I would get a cover up

Like which part? The only part I don’t like are the little circles in the face and the neck of the feathered serpent where it starts bending at the top.Im hoping I can get something to cover the neck up a bit so I had this in mind. http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=tlaloc&order=9&offset=24#/d2zamfz I got permission from the creator to use this design.

The LA area is so overflowing with uber talented tattooist I’m not sure I would settle for this guy.

I’ll admit hes not good with color. He learned in Prison, don’t expect him to be good at painting butterflies and lollipops. But his black & white art that he does and especially his aztec art is nice.Pretty fair priced too.75$ an hour as apposed to http://www.latinskulls.net/home.html charging me 145 an hour.Where can I find out about LA artist that are independent(No shop,Like the guy’s facebook I posted) around my area?

Let me get this right…. you have a tattoo that you admitted is put to shame by what you’ve seen is possible. You’re shown what is possible (Pangburn or someone else talented enough to cover that),,,, and you’re leaning towards an “independent, non-shop, prison-taught” … ummm “artist”?

Wow… just wow. No shop, no autoclave, no serious drawing skill, no understanding of colors and color theory and what one ink over another is going to do underneath your SKIN… sounds like a good idea to you?

Save money on a 2 for one Happy Meal or a stripper, or clothing…. but for God’s sake, we’re talking about something that’s going INTO your skin and going to be there for life. You have a shot to make it better right now, but if you get a second half-assed job on it, then what???

I agree.

It seems like you didn’t learn a hell of a lot the first time around. That single image speaks volumes about the guy’s lack of talent.

Pay the extra for the good tattooist and then just save money on groceries.

But chances are you will just go to another scrtatcher and have a fucked up tattoo. Which at that point you will deserve it. you started to do the right thing by coming here but finish it out and listen to what you are being told.
