The short answer is, yes. However, the photo is really poor quality so the artist would have to add in the detail on his/her own. This is a famous image though so you should be able to find a higher quality photo. e.g.

The artists will also decide what to eliminate from the background in order to make it a little more aesthetically pleasing. Speaking strictly as a layman, I would personally eliminate the trees.

Dependig on how big you’re willing to go I would think this needs a relatively flat, good size placement like on the back.
