    Right, don’t pick the scabs and try not to scratch. They will fall off when the skin underneath is healed. That insures the color will stay intact.

    Yes, you should be good then. However, a little bit of color may come out, even without picking at the scab because I showed my tattoo to an artist and he said it was normal, especially if its in a spot where clothes rub against it and what not.

    Correct. It’ll look like hell with all that inked skin flaking off, and the shiny-skin phase is almost as bad, but at least what ink is at the permanent level will stay there.

    The danger is opening up spots to that level and either pulling out the skin, ink & scab or making it so such will happen later.

    Slap-happiness is the order of the day for dealing with the itching.
