I got my tattoo on friday, Its across my shoulders, Ive been washing it and creaming it with Bepenthen nappy rash cream, as was directed. My artist was good, He wasnt anyone dodgy etc. The only thing I have been doing is creaming it and covering it with clingfilm with a layer of cream ontop, rubbing it in until there is a very thin layer ontop. I havent been exposed to any sun damage apart from today but I used factor 50 kids suncream with no fragrance in.

Everytime I look close to my tattoo some bits are lighter than others, not some letters but small spots on the tattoo and the tattoo almost looks kind of scaley and wrinkled? Is this all normal? Its my first tattoo. When ive covered it and worn clothing there has been no bits of ink on the back of it.

You should definitly stop with cling film. You gotta let it breath. As far as the scaly look, that’s normal. You may need some touch ups. But without seeing it, its hard to say. Let it completely heal, which will take around 6 weeks, and go back for touch ups. You should post a pic so everyone can get an idea of what you are talking about. just from what you said I think your good. Good luck.

The cling film was just while I had cream on it for my longer shift. So the white is normal.. My mum just looked an she seemed to think it was sun cream from earlier that hadnt been rubbed in properly. Is the scaley look etc all normal?
