    I love the idea of black/grey with some colour, the flowers in colour would look great in contrast to the rest.

    Just throwing this out there, if you’re keen on black and grey but want to give the piece more depth and character you could ask your artist to use opaque grey in places. by which i mean grey made from black and white pigment as opposed to grey wash, plus highlights in white or a light colour.

    that could be an idea i just want the backround to make the colour POP lol
