I’ve seen a couple tattoos of leaves, where there has been an image inside the leaf. I think they look gorgeous 🙂 Nice way to combine the two as well!
To me, fall is all about leaves, rain and candles. What do you associate with fall, or with your uncle? 🙂
How about a very long narrow road thats empty apart from bare trees doming the road kind of like a surreal road, with the sides of the road littered in swept up autumn leaves.
You could even go as far as having cheesy couple walking down the middle, with some flock of birds flying off 🙂

I like this
Pox,
I really like the idea with the image inside of the leaf. I actually had the idea of doing a leaf with the mountain range that looms over the town he lived in inside of it but then again, I’m kind of wanting this to be a more indirect memorial piece. He and I shared the love for Fall so it would be for me and for him in a way, does that make sense?
Fall has always meant a time of change, changing leaves, changing times. Cuddling up with a good book or cuddling up to a significant other. The weather still warm but with a bite to it when the wind picks up. Candles also make me think of Fall, I’ve definitely been burning a lot more lately than I usually do. My uncle was a mountain man. As I said, he lived in the mountains. He lived in a town here in Colorado, about 2 ½ hours outside of Denver, called Buena Vista. This is the mountain range I thought may look cool if I did something like that:

I think a lot of what inspired this idea was a song my Aunt posted on facebook after his passing. She also played it at the services, from her to him in a way. One evening I asked if Fall was his favorite time of year and this was her reply to me:
“He loved the colors of fall, we took lots of walks & hikes because the weather was cool but not hot, motorcycle rides were great because the weather was most always good no rain like in the summer. Winter was a pain because of snow removal and keeping the wood stove up & running. Spring was just a soggy muddy mess around here. Summer is great except it’s always too hot and you can’t get cool enough, fast enough. Camping up high was always a treat So I’ll guess that Fall would have been his favorite season.”
Then this is the song that I mentioned above:

I do like your idea though Peter even though I probably wouldn’t add the couple. I would keep it empty as you explained before. It could be a possibility.
Few photos from my folders I remember keeping, not exactly what your after but may help 🙂
Thanks Peter. I’m a Fall picture fanatic. Took a camping trip in late September once, came home with over 200 pictures of trees lol
So many options I don’t know! Maybe I’ll throw the idea at my artist when I go in next to finish my half sleeve. Planning to go in at the end of the month
Well, as I said earlier her website doesn’t seem to be tablet friendly and my laptop no longer understands a keyboard but here it is:
And I enjoyed those other fall pictures, guys. A rusted out truck can be art, who knew?

I actually do like that, came out very nice even though the lighting of the picture isn’t the greatest. Thanks for sharing!
Now I’ve been thinking of trying to make a chest piece out of this idea
Best time of year. I’d much rather be cold than sweaty.
Already broke out the long sleeves and sweaters.
Down here in the dirty south they will literally close schools if there’s 1″ of snow that sticks. But we get snow maybe once or twice a decade.

Have you tried connecting a wireless one, or just going for a new system shortly?

I HATE being cold. I don’t sweat much unless it’s 100 F or I’m exercising vigorously, but I hate shivering and being miserable. And everyone else seems to like to keep it about 60.

I’ve tried plugging in a keyboard and also the ‘on screen’ one. The laptop only understands some of the keys, the rest it either ignores, repeats endlessly, or interprets it as some kind of weird command. It was nearing the end of its lifespan anyways, and I was hoping to just get by with the new tablet. I don’t think that is going to work so some time in the future I’ll be shopping for a cheap laptop. In the meantime the mouse still works, so my workaround is to email any commands to myself then cut and paste them as needed. (How’s that for thinking outside of the box??)

I agree. I love Fall. I hate the heat, especially around here when it reach over 100 degrees for weeks on end. If it could stay a constant 70 degrees here year around I would be happy!
