    Hello guys,

Long time reader, first time poster. So I have had this thing on my triceps for a while now, and was thinking about doing a coverup over it. I’ve been training and since my triceps grew the calligraphy is all messed up and anyways I don’t like it.

I am aware it will have to be something dark since it was in black, so do you think the following thing would cover it up properly?

This is what I have. http://i.imgur.com/HaX6vwH.jpg

What I would get is some torn skin with the bat suit showing up underneath. Would the shading work or the lines of the first tattoo would show up?

Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it!

Why not get it lasered a bit so it can be covered with something lighter? That bat suit could never look good.

What you have is big a cover up must be much bigger then the original tattoo to work properly and you don’t have enough room for that.

Start with booking a couple laser apt. and find yourself a great coverup tattooist.

Thanks for your input. I actually took an appointment to get it lasered off. Do you think the batsuit can’t be reproduced because of the prior tattoo or because of the shading and all in the batsuit itself?

I didn’t say that it couldn’t be reproduced. I said it would not look good.

The bat suit is black. Apart from lighting and angles, there are no tones to it at all, only a single tone of black. So you’d basically be putting a giant blob of black on your arm. You really want a blacked-out arm?

Welcome to the forum. You’re getting very good advice here. There’s no way all that black would look good. Good luck and I hope you come back and post pics of your new tattoo! ๐Ÿ™‚
