Thinking about making a (SHORT 5-10 min.) doc on tattooing where I live for a school project. I thought I’d call up a studio and see if they’d be interested in filming their business, get an interview (how long have you done this, etc).

How feasible does this sound, on a scale from 1-10? Or do tattooists hate being interrupted?

Depends on the artist I’m sure. Never hurts to ask and worst that can happen is they say no.

Get one yourself and have an assistant film it.

I suggest a lower back tattoo.

Good Idea getting a tattoo while filming.
As for the lower back tattoo; Don’t these tend to label a person?
I think it takes a real man to pull off a lower back tattoo.

I have so many questions now

Anywho, I have two interviews but no true idea what I’m going to do here. I don’t know what to ask beyond the basics (Did you receive training, where did you apprentice)

My town is awash with parlors (some 50-60 shops) and only a handful have good reviews

    Labels are for the ignorant.
