I’ve woken up to it still flaking. It’s itchy as hell and it’s taking all of me to not go to town. Suppose the bright side is I can’t quite reach it all so it’d be more effort than it’s…[Read more]

Welcome to the forum!

I’m new too, never actually introduced myself, suppose it was a tad rude of me but they all seem to be quite nice from what I’ve gathered.. if not, they’re at least all very helpful here 🙂

Eep! 5 days?! I have to admit I’m new to the world of tattoos and the healing process but that’s just awful. I was told to leave it on for a couple of hours and not re-bandage it. I can’t imagine the smell. I managed to go 2 days without a shower (I still washed the area though) and then couldn’t handle it anymore. But I was doing the limbo…[Read more]

Apologies for being a pain…

I did what everyone here said and left it uncovered, I wore the softest clothing I’m allowed to wear for college and it would seem the tattoo has started peeling. I haven’t pulled any skin off or picked at it etc but my concern is that some of the skin has pulled off a little bit onto the clothes. The biggest problem…[Read more]

Oh won’t they? Awesome. I’m really hoping I can avoid the scabbing then. I don’t recall my very first horrible one scabbing so maybe I’ll get lucky. I can’t really reach the area anyway so I won’t be able to do any picking or peeling, at the moment I’m having other people wash it and moisturise it lol.

Thank you so much for your help, I…[Read more]

Oh can it? Alright, I’ll be sure to not over do it from now on.

That’s roughly the routine I’ve been doing with the “Tattoo Goo”, but it didn’t seem to moisturise it enough which is why I put a little extra of the Bepanthen on just to kind of make up for it I guess.

How long until I should expect some scabbing?

As for the comments, I’m…[Read more]

Oh do they?! Phew! Okay, I don’t feel as worried knowing people here use it.

What will over-moisturising do? Cause the ink to come out? I’ll make sure not to apply too much. I applied quite a thick layer when I got it due to it feeling very stiff when I moved, I assumed it was because there wasn’t enough moisture but I’ll not apply anymore…[Read more]

Thanks for all your replies, I really appreciate it!

I’ve managed to keep it uncovered 90% of the time since I got it done on Saturday evening.

I’ve gotten rid of the Tattoo Goo and looked for Aquaphor but unless I’m blind or an idiot (both are possible) I can’t find it in the UK. I went to my local pharmacy and spoke to them and the lady said…[Read more]

What would you suggest in replacement for the Tattoo Goo?
The problem is that I’m able to allow the tattoo to breathe however I have a specific uniform for college Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays which don’t allow me to wear a cotton shirt. The fabric isn’t soft and I worry it’ll cause friction so I wanted to know if it’s possible to put…[Read more]

Thanks for your reply.

I made the mistake of wearing light-coloured clothes the first night, thankfully it wasn’t an item of clothing I was concerned about.

It’s only just over 24hrs old and for the most part it’s been completely uncovered. My biggest concern though is college on Tuesday. Due to the course I’m studying I have to wear a…[Read more]
