Default Tattoo: I have conflicting advice about whether to leave the plastic wrap on...

...overnight or remove immediately.? Help! Some say that saran wrap or plastic covering is bad for a tattoo. Is this true? Need answers fast.
I've taken the word of the majority and just took the wrap off, washed it, and applied ointment. Don't worry about it being too soon though, its been more than an hour and the bleeding has stopped. Thanks guys!
