From my experience, I'd stop using the A&D ointment and start using Curel Lotion (non fragrance and no dyes). I use Curel as it has worked for me...and I use it after my first wash of the new ink.
Luberderm is ok and have used it before, but a slight sting the first few days.
This seems to be a controvesy in the tattoo world. I have used many products on the advice of the tattoo artists who have done my ink. From experience, I do not like A&D ointment...your new ink and your skin needs to breathe and oxygen is part of healing process. Ointments tend to be goopy and can clog the pores...causing delayed healing and possibly acne.
A lot of people will tell you a lot of different things...from inked to noninked to artist themselves...I say follow your artist instructions and learn from experience what works best for you.
Keep washing it in luke warm to hot water when you shower and it will help open the pores. Use Antibacterial Liquid Soap (suggestion Dial...non fragrance...no dyes).
Then place lotion after you spot dry the spot. Keep it moist with the lotion and it should heal fine.
