Default Is LA Ink Scripted?

I was watching an episode tonight, i do believe it's "In pain, Kat consults a doctor", it's a new episode, and there was a scene where one of Kats co-worker, (not sure her name), but calls up one of her clients and BAM, Camera is down at the radio station were her client was at, and they were talking about making an appointment, in a casual manner. I'm thinking, did they have to wait until the camera crew went down there, the radio host client had to pretend as if she were working and then decide to call each other, or did they shoot the scenes seperately.
Also there was a scene were Kat is discussing some medical problem with Orbie(sp?), and the camera crew was there, though usually the camera crew is mainly set at the store. So was it at the right place at the right time? Or did they have to put that together?
Confused, maybe someone can clarify some scenes that are put together like that.
