I got my first tattoo on december 30th, it is a laurel wreath on my inner ankle. I went without much consultation on color ink, just determined on the design, size and placement. As it is a very small and my first tattoo, I did not wanted much black on it, so the artist used: olive green as the darker color, bright green to color the leaves, blue for contrast, and white to highlight.
Now, I am peeling and scabbing, and I believe these colors will not hold that well over the years. I think I should have gone with black ink to outline. Is it recommendable to get a touch up right away when my tattoo is healed? or should I see how it goes over time? I am hispanic with light-medium skin, my ankle is rather pale and the fresh tattoo looks good without the black ink, but as it is on a friction zone I am afraid it will fade quickly.
