    Hi,

I’ve been lurking around these forums for a few days, and enjoy and appreciate all of the advice and inspiration you all give!

13 years ago my brother and I got sibling tattoos; each other’s name in Japanese (our dad was born in Okinawa and we really identify with that). His turned out okay, but mine was bad and is a bit blown out. Now my sister wants to get sibling tattoos (we have an appointment on Monday). The same thing, each other’s name in Japanese but I’m not sure if I should put it next to the other one and just embrace the fact that the first one isn’t great but means a lot to me, or if I should do a cover up on the first one and do both of my siblings names on the other arm. My plan is to do Japanese style sleeve on my left arm (the one with the Japanese text), and more of a traditional or neo-traditional style on the left arm. I’m also, concerned that the placement of the tattoos might make it hard to do a sleeve around them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
