Well to start when I got this tattoo everybody was immediately shocked and very amazed how how it turned out. I was on facebook one day and I saw a bunch of Joker art work. So I did a little research on the Joker through comics and cartoon shows. I stumbled across a a comic book known as the “The Killing Joke”. The basis of the story is sort or the origins of the joker and more importantly how far will someone go over the edge. One of the most famous lines were “All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. That’s how far the world is from where I am. Just one bad day.” Don’t want to ruin it for anybody who wants to look up the comic and read it. It shows that all people have the capability to do the unthinkable if pushed to far. So when I got this and people ask why did you get that phrase I just answer “All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy.”

Some pictures and a crappy, but fun video.

The video is labeled “private” and I cannot access it. Cool tattoo.

    What is the artist’s name?

I was thinking this, also. I believe portraits and realism tattoos are best left to those who specialise in them since it is such a delicate art.

I’ve seen some really well done portraits, but I’ll never have one on me. I originally wanted to go with realism but they’re tattoos. As a body ages it changes and I think what I have going, what I consider a sort of a caricature of realistic animals and plants, will hold up. Being almost 57 years old means they’ll probably still look good when the medical students are dissecting me.

… neither of which applies to a comic art tattoo … but I agree that it is just “ok.”

I was more referring to the fact that it is a tattoo of a face.
