well if im completely honest, which is always the best policy i believe, the art work isnt great, the girls arm looks very out of proportion, her face is very uneven, the skeletons hands are solid,(instead of being bones) its right arm looks weird etc, personally i dont rate your artist but the concept is a good one!

big ad – you beat me to it ! – I got slagged last time I said what I thought – but since i’m not the only one I might not get grief this time.
-The artist is crap – shading is poor or non- existent – ( I haven’t a clue how to tatto – but I’m damn sure I could draw and colour in with felt tips better than that – and that’s exactly what it looks like )
Get another artist to finish it and it might end up half decent !

Im not happy how the girl came out eathier..but im gonna tell him to redo her and see how that goes. I would switch artists but the thing is is that i alldrady traded stuff in for the back sleeve so i really cant go back now..but i think once the rest of it falls into place itll take away from the girl and look pretty good. The demon came out pretty good i think. Idk i appreciate you guys being honost. Do you guys have any other ideas for what to add on to it? I know i allready have a plan but who knows maybe ill like what you guys say better.

Wow ok, I don’t really know what you mean with trading stuff in for the back piece, but honestly I think you should step back for a minute and re-evaluate the situation. Looks like you are going for a big tattoo there, so if it were me, I would want to make sure that it turns out the way I want it to. If you aren’t happy with the work I would seriously consider looking at other artists.

Why did you choose this one in the first place? Because he was willing to do the trade or because you were impressed by his portfolio? Sorry if this seems harsh, but you will have that tattoo for the rest of your life, so imo you should make sure you won’t regret it later!

You can always walk away, no matter what you invested already. Better poor for a while than ending up with a large piece that you aren’t happy with and that will be pretty much impossible to cover up. Again, apologies if I’m misjudging the situation…

the demon’s not too bad – but tbh – you can always save some money up — that thing will be on your back forever !! – Seriously – find a more proficiant artist – if you’re lucky you will find someone who can sort out the top of that tattoo. Getting that particular original artist to try and do something will only end in tears ! – Did you even look at a stencil on your back before he started – or was it freehand?
( did you look at any of his earlier work ?)

– I’m no expert, but like those on here who are say “a good tattoo’s not cheap” – and if cost was my primary reason for using a particular artist then I wouldn’t have bothered at all. Whatever deal you have with him — get out of it — It’s your skin – and I wouldn’t let him near it again if I was you you !

( as for the previous 2 comments who said it looks good

get to the opticians ffs ! )

So i was apprenticing for piercing at this tattoo shop. I ended up quiting but the artist thats doing my back works there. I made a deal to trade my laptop for alot of this back piece. Even if i wanted to go back theres no way i could. He allready has 12 hours invested in this. And if it comes out totally shitty i can allways go to anouther artist and get new shading and coloros. But other than the arm on the girl i really done see whats wrong with it. Help me out here

have a look at other peoples’ work on here and then you’ll see what’s wrong with it !! If you still can’t – well at the end of the day it’s your back – and if you’re happy with it ?????

You traded a lap top?!

That’s not a comment on the tattoo in any way….is that normal?

So you already gave up your laptop….so what?

He already put in 12 hours, and might be offended if you decide to get it finished by someone else….so what? He’ll get over it.

Take a step back and think about it for a little while. Are you really 100% happy with this guy finishing it, or do you believe that someone else may be able to do it better for you? Think about that, then make your desicion.

You can always get more money and a new laptop…you can’t undo the tattoo though.

I dunno guys, it isn’t THAT bad.
The chick isn’t something but the tattoo is normal, his artist might actually fix it later.
Plus, he can always just go to another artist and add shading and stuff.
