I recently came across this picture and I am trying to determine what the style is actually called. I’ve found this style to be very similar to those tattoos of the old school bare knuckle fighters. ( also pictured below ). Is it considered American Traditional? I’m just not sure. Thanks so much for your help!!
I had a talk with some coworkers today about the spiderweb on the heads of people on tats. No one knew although each had their own interpretation. I took it as death. Is there a solid answer on the reasoning for the spiderwebs? The poe pic to lead this thread off has it. Would like to hear anyone’s thoughts. Thanks.
I don’t think there’s any tattoos that have one set meaning. To my knowledge, spider webs are commonly used to represent the passing of time (specifically in jail) and frailty/delicacy (specifically in nature). Those are for tattoos OF spider webs though, I’m unsure about tattoos that include them like your example.
