Hey guys, I’m looking to get these tattoos done, hopefully the photos have worked (made them on paint), but I’m struggling to find the time to get to a tattoo parlour to ask about how much they would be due to the hours I work. Price isn’t really an issue and I’m NOT going to be looking for the cheapest place, quality is most important like on my last tattoos, but I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough estimate of how much they’d be. I’m in the United Kingdom so help from anyone there would be appreciated.

Welcome. It’s impossible to give you a estimate because some artists charge £50 a hour some charge £200 a hour. It takes two minutes to go in to a studio and ask a price on something and considering it’s something that you are living with for the rest of your life i would find time. Another thing you said money is no option but you are looking for the cheapest option but quality is a must, if you want your tattoo to be of good quality like you say you want it you will pay for quality prices.

To add to Wardy’s words of wisdom. Many Tattooists specialise in specific styles. Take time to look at their portfolios of similar styles to what you are after. Hint if the studio looks dirty and uninviting look elsewhere.

Hi and welcome to the forum. It is good you are not going to shop for the cheapest. You probably wouldn’t end up with a atattoo you love. If you don’t have time to shop around, perhaps check to see if the studios you are considering have a website and email them a copy and see if they are willing to give you any price ideas. They may not be willing unless you are all ready a customer of theirs. I am able to email back and forth with my artist without any problems. It might be an option for you to at least get a ballpark figure. And do look through artist’s portfolios! Good luck! 🙂

I would budget 2 hours each arm and depending what your guy charges you should be able to come up with price. But then again some work faster than others…..just taking a guess.
