I desperatley want a tattoo and have done for a few years. What puts me off is that I’m a little chubby. I’m a size 12-14 and worried that a tatt just won’t look as good if I’m not slinky and slim. Any pics I look at are of slim women who look great. I’m fit and healthy and curvy and not massively fat but I just worry the tatt won’t look good. Any opinions on not so skinny girls and tatts?

I personally know plenty of girls that have tattoos that are not so skinny. Just because that is what you see photos of doesn’t mean that tattoos don’t look good on other people. You should never let your size stop you from expressing yourself no matter what you want to do. I think tattoos look great on all shapes and sizes of people.

Hi

First of all 12-14 is not chubby it is an average size for most women.

The key thing to remember is that the pictures you see are all professional models (who happen to have ink) and to look a certain way is what they are paid to do and spend their lives maintaining that.

How many times do I see pics of male models with ripped six packs sporting tribal or other styles of ink – dozens.

The closest I will ever get to a god’s physique is Budda. 😀

The truth is simple – a good tattoo looks great no matter what the size the person is. The other bonus is that the tattoo will be put on to fit your body shape.

I love seeing good ink on all sizes of ladies. Weight/body size is something that is in the head if you feel good about yourself then that is reflected to those around you.

Take Care
Matthew

Okay honey, first off, anything smaller than a size thirteen just ain’t enough woman. Why in the name of all that is good and holy would you want some slinky little thing who doesn’t have any of the curves that makes the female form interesting? Breasts, thighs, ass, even a belly, these are all things men like, along with a smile.

Dude chick, it’s like the man said, fat bottom girls you make the rockin world go ’round.

Second off, if the tattoo is well done, is a piece of art inked by a master, it’s going to make you sexier. Period. I know a woman who weighs four hundred pounds that I would fuck because A) she respects herself, B) dresses well, and C) has gorgeous tattoos that make her look sexy as hell.

What you need to do is work on your self esteem, because you sound sexy as hell. To this end, I vote you post pics of yourself in varying stages of undress for us to drool over. In return, we’ll compliment you AND send you pics of Sherav naked.

He’s english you know.

Love. Peace. Metallica.

Agreed!
your artist will be able to recommend best placement and should design the piece to best fit the client

Sounds to me like your looking for some validation. If you plan on losing weight, I would avoid inking any area that may sag or droop (breast, stomach, chin, ect) it happens. If you plan to maintain your current, realistic form the only advice I would give is to avoid fold areas. Nuff said!

Honey, I’m about a size 6-8, (just about 5″1 tall), and I’m dying to gain some weight. I’ve got a couple big tattooes, and I feel like I’m running out of room on my body!! Whatever I get, it looks HUGE.That worried me at first, ’cause I know that whatever I got, it would probabuly look extreme either way.(turned out I wanted it to, but hey…) I was also scared that I wouldn’t be able to get something amazing done, ’cause it’s not too much room for big tattoos. But I figured it out. And I’m sure you will too. Your size is absolutley normal, you look beautiful in your avatar pic, can’t see anything wrong.

Tattoos on the other hand, can bring out what’s beautiful about YOU and YOUR body. Get something that flatters you! Your artist will help you figure out the best placement. Everyone has something they don’t like about them selves. A friend of mine just got her feet tattooed – ’cause she used to hate her feet. Now she loves them!

Only thing you have to worry about, is how your body will change. Stomach isn’t the best place to tattoo if you plan on losing a lot of weight, or get pregant. But go to a good artist, and he/she will help you out with the placement 🙂 Or buy some blueprint paper or have someone help you draw it up on your body, and see how it looks!

My Macbook is broken so my access to the internet is dependant on getting my father to stop looking at porn all day so I can borrow his.

I understand where your thoughts are coming from.

I’m bigger than i should be, but i’m still able to see my feet so i’m not overly concerned LOL!!! I’d love something on my body but i have held back because i do hope that i will shift a little bit over the next couple of years. Plus when i decided a few years back that i wanted rugrats i defo knew i didn’t want a tatt that was all stretched and weird looking!

Anyway, what i’m blithering about is, you have to do what you feel comfy with. As others have said, a good artist will design one to fit your curves. And then you may find that you are happier to show off said curves (which i’m sure will meet with approval from certain peeps LOL!!!!)

Love to all xx

Honestly, the people you see in magazines with ripped abs or super skinny blondes are quite rare, and people with those bodies who have tattoos are even more rare. The vast majority of people dont have perfect bodies, many, many people have some fat on them, and its nothing to be ashamed of. I know im not 😀

Besides, most guys actually want women with meat on their bones.
